Safety in Logistics Conference 2014

The Freight Transport Association are presenting the Safety in Logistics Conference 2014 on 10th June to showcase the latest industry initiatives, best practice advice and the latest developments in enforcement.

Throughout the conference, which will be held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, there will be opportunities to listen and engage in discussions of load securing and curtainsiders, preventing vehicle runaways, vulnerable road users and multi-decked vehicles and trailers.

Sally Thornley, Director of Standards, Audits and Accreditation, FTA will chair the conference, with the opportunity for delegates to hear Simon Bland, Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Mark Horton, Traffic Enforcement Scheme Manager, DVSA, speak alongside other industry experts. All speakers have the universal aim to ensure that a ‘from the top down’ safety culture is implemented throughout all businesses in the logistics industry.

Ticket prices for FTA members are at a cost of £325 +VAT for the first delegate, and £275 +VAT for delegates thereafter. For non-FTA members this is £385 +VAT for first delegate and then £345 +VAT for delegates thereafter.
